I have used TWG for some time now and I absolutely love it.

I recently moved one of my sites to Drupal to allow members Login and use various web apps (e.g. Blogs, BB etc.)

I would also like to give them the ability to upload photos to TWG but I would prefer for them notto have two accounts (i.e. One for Drupal and one for TWG). Therefore ideally I would like them to be able to use their Drupal login to upload images to TWG.

Also, (perhaps later), allow images uploaded to be used by Drupals Image Gallery so images can be incorporated into webpages by logged in Drupal content editors.

Then maybe a drupal integration of TFU would make sense - does have drupal a good flash uploader like JFU?

I am not sure as I have not used Joomla

The link below shows variations of Flash uploaders.

SWFUpload & Image FUpload strike me as possibilities however my knowledge as to their suitability is rather dim

I have to take a look after my vacation. But the wrapper for Joomla is really huge already. So I have to check first if it makes sense to implement this for Drupal as well. I already did this for Wordpress but there are only very few downloads so far...

No problem, I completely understand.
I have heard rumours that Drupal is now more popular than Joomla

That said, perhaps we ought to wait and see if other TWG users would like to see an adaptor for Drupal.

I think there are modules in drupal for photo galleries although I have not tried them simply because I am already familiar with TWG.

even for Joomla I don't have a user integration - only for the flash uploader because this works perfect.

I just check the demand and the existing uploaders for drupal. If both look like that it makes sense to write a wrapper I have to see if I have the time for it.
Because I think a few hundered hours are needed to make it like the Joomla Flash Uploader.

Hi Michael,

I used Drupal for a while now and I found a solution that fits my needs. Perhaps I can help you wit a List of Modules I used to get a photo gallery.

First there's Gallery Assist which provides main gallery functions.

For "mass uploading" images to the gallery it's neccessary to install
a bridge between Gallery Assist and Image Fupload
Image Fupload gives you main Uploading functions but you need at least
swfupload from here and copy the needed files to their places.

Perhaps you can use this information for your decision whether to do the work on a DFU (Drupal Flash Uploader) ;)

regards, sui

Thanks,

currently I just don't have the time to look at this. But Drupal would be my next choice if I would build a new wrapper for TFU.

Hi,

any news about drupal integration?
I ran many drupal sites and don't like existing gallery modules. Would prefer TWG a lot :-)

Cheers

not. You can integrate TWG directly as well but then you have to mess around with all the css stuff that is maybe overwritten.

Best, Michael

For all drupal users: Use module insertFrame #removed_broken_link

Works well. btw good integration is another point.

Cheers
