Post subject:  trouble sizing the iframe

hello,

in the below example link, I'm trying to have the iframe automatically size to the window whether on laptop, desktop, regardless of screen resolution. is this possible? right now, it has 2 scroll bars; one for browser, and one for iframe. it would be cleaner if the browser scroll went away, and only the iframe scroll remained.

if it helps with clarity of what I'm looking for. the sticky footer would always be seen at the bottom of the screen regardless of resolution.

hope this makes sense.

thank you,

David

I only see an error page at the link. And which configuration have you used?

sorry about that. try it again please Michael. I had an error in my path when I moved from my xampp to my hosting service.

As this is on the same domain you simply have to enable auto height.

See: http://www.tinywebgallery.com/blog/advanced-iframe/demo-advanced-iframe-2-0

-> onload_resize="true"

In the code that is rendered no onload event that should be and that triggeres the resize is there. so how does you shortcode look like?

Michael,

below is my shortcode.

[advanced_iframe securitykey="cbb0d3a3b890ba9087229b83930785e34121a21e" use_shortcode_attributes_only="true" src="//localhost" id="advanced_iframe" onload_resize="true" onload_resize_width="true" resize_on_ajax_jquery="false" ]

on http://www.themeinerts.com/genealogy/wp/bio_meinert-johann-adam it seems to work.
Please change the id! 58 is not valid! make e58 if you like. This kills the Javascript for some features.

Michael,

the page ID I got from a WP addon that tells what each page ID is. 58 is correct for that page. perhaps I'm misunderstanding the utility of that part of the code??

also, if you're saying that's the intended affect of the code; then it's not what I'm looking for. can you take a look at my original post again please.

thank you,

David

The id is a number YOU can define. It only has to be unique for a page that so using id="advanced_iframe" is completely fine for you!

And for me auto height seems to work fine. So what is still the problem?

ah, I see. I thought it was the page ID. thank you for the clarification.

does this make sense??
