Hi,

im using JFU 3.1 (i know...) for a joomlasite 3.2 for a school.
Teachers can make articles frontend and use JFU to upload pictures to the article.
More then often, teachers are telling me that the pictures are wrong orientated, or upside down.
I'm not sure if the source is always a smartphone-camera.
Now i ftp the pictures from the site. In Windows, they are orientated well. I fi open the picture in Microsft Picture Manager, I see the 'real' picture and then i have to turn it around, save it, an ftp it again.
Is there a solution for this so i dont to do this workaround?

Greetings,
Peter

Do you resize the images? Because the rotation info is normally saved in the exif data! If you resize during upload this is lost if you don't use image magic!

Hello, Yes i do use resize.
I looked for magick and found this in the frontend settings
"Use image magick Test disabled"
i need to install it on server side?
greetings

also getting trouble with flash which is blocked on chrome, firefox...
I've got 200 frontend users who complain. I know there is a workaround, but in the end Flash will be blocked and dissapear.
Anychange you'll be rewriting it to html5?

Anyway, a big round of applause for you for using yopur program the last 10 years....

yes - Image magick needs to be on the server side.

Flash will be only be supported till 2020 and then it will be finally dead.

A full html5 replacement does not make sense from my side as this would take very much time compared to very little income. I might do it like I do it for TWG to integrate pupload into my JFU frame. Then you will still have the upload features (even some more) but there will not be the file management like you have now.

What part do you use most?

Best, Michael
