I'm trying to get the € sign to show on webserver file names but I guess I need to add some other code (than ASCII) in JFUploader Configuration. The server is currently using ALL locales but en_US.UTF-8 UTF-8 is the default.

Have you set this in the config? because the encoding can be set there.

The config is a bit confusing.
I can't seem to find the right place to define the UTF-8.

It is a little bit hard to find :).

Go to a profile -> 2nd tab -> Set encoding (could be slightly different as I only have the German version here) almost at the bottom
Also see http://www.tinywebgallery.com/en/tfu/tfu_faq_10.php where the parameter is described.

Best, Michael

I found this on JFUploader Profile Configuration...

"Fix encoding"

Should I just enter UTF-8 there?

If I enter UTF-8 there I can see the € sign but files with Scandic letters do not show at all.

Are this files you have uploaded through the flash or through a different way?

Ahh.. That's probably it. It seems to be best to rename the file after upload to avoid problems with encoding.

Sometimes the problem is that files already come with a different encoding.
