Hi,

After reading a bunch of How-to's and the forum I'm still not quite sure about this:

- TWG can extract the IPTC data 'offline' and put the info in XML files.
- If I have entered tags in the IPTC data of my pictures, can I use TWG to search for these tags and display the pictures?

Example: searching for
- "holiday" "germany"
- "birthday" "family"
- "hotel" "spain"

Maybe you could even create something like a 'smart' folder that appears to be a real folder or gallery but has pictures based on IPTC tags that you define. (like "holiday" "san francisco" or "business" "sanfrancisco")

Thank you!
DJ

How do you use the iptc data? Captions or Tags?

You can search for both and get them then displayed on the search results page. I'm not sure if the lightbox is active there which would make you a kind of "virtual folder". I have to check this...

I could actually put the data in both the Captions and Tags..

It would be awesome to have such 'search' folders. That would turn my 100k online photo collection into some kind of database!

Cheers
