Hi,

I am trying to figure out if it's my firefox, or if it's TWG1.6

My Server Specs:
PentiumIII733, 1500MegsSDRAM
Apache 2.2
PHP5
GD
MySQL4.1

Workstation runs Firefox, and I have noticed that some images load up slowly, and some just lock up firefox.

Everything is good/green in the TWG installation check

I am sorry, but I don't have anymore info to point to concerning this.

Any Ideas?

Thanks,

Heeter

Once the cache images are generated this should not be a problem.

The images itself should not be a problem. Only that they are maybe generated too slow first. You can generated the cache images in the administration.

I just noticed a huge performance boost by disabling the thumbnail scroll.

yes, thats what I did.

I really like the scrolling feature, but it locks up my browsers, and my families browsers as well, so switched it to html.

Maybe a fresh install TWG might be in order, as this started happening not too long ago.

What is your opinion?

This only issue with the scroller is that all images have to load before it scrolls. Maybe you connection is simply quite slow...

I will have to recheck that part too, as it only started doing this awhile ago. It performed flawlessly since TWG1.6 came out.

Sorry Michael,

I think you misunderstood what I wrote because I wrote it wrong.

I installed 1.6 since the first it went gold, and it has been working fast/fine until only a little while ago. I only started experiencing this slowdown not too long ago.

Now I disabled the scroll feature because of the load, and all is working great after all.

Thanks.

I never had any problems there - you can try to play with the number of images in the thumbnail strip - check config.php - at the bottom are some internal settings ...
