PostPosted: 4. Feb 2006, 20:26
Well, in the Demo I had the change to click on one of the rotation buttons, to rotate the picture 45° in one direction.
It doesn't work for me, there aren't such buttons, and I haven't any files like that in the /cache/ directory except that "_rotation_not_available.jpg", what can I do?

Make sure that

$show_rotation_buttons=true

in config.php, not false.

Also, "if the rotation function cannot be defected by function_exists the rotation buttons are not shown at all!" if that's any more help.

Hi,

If the file _rotation_not_available does exist an internal Test of TWG has found out that the rotation function is not availalbe on your system!.

Very seldom this check is wrong - rename the file to rotation_available.jpg then the rotation is turned on!

The config parameter has to be true as well.

If you wnat to perform a new test - delete the filde from the cache.

I have found out that this function is not availalbe if the gd lib does not come bundled with the php bt is installed or updated later on ...

if you call info.php this test is shown!

/Michael

Well, that's true, it said that the rotation function is not available.
I am using Debian/testing with PHP5(5.0.5-3) and PHP5-gd and libgd2-xpm, libgd2-xpm-dev, I don't know why it doesn't work.
Hm. Wierd thing, well, if there are no other Ideas, I must live with that ;)

I think I cannot help you with that - the test in the info.php does test the rotate function and if it does not work ....

does the php and the gdlib come in two packages?

/Michael

Yes, it's Debian, there are the packages PHP5, PHP5-GD and libgd2-xpm, libgd2-xpm-dev. I think, if I would compile php on my own instead of using apt-get, it could work. Well, seems to be a problem with php in general.
Thanks anyway ;)
