I have a number of my images which utilize IPTC captions already. I am having a problem getting these to show up under my pictures. I current have the following configuration which does not seem to work so I must be missing something. Could someone give me some help on this problem, thanks

--

$iptc_fields_for_caption= array('2#105','2#005');

You can try '2#120' too.

Well this is what I have under additional "$iptc_fields_for_caption= array('2#105','2#005', '2#120');" with no captions. If I look under the info tab these all show the captions listed as description, but if I open them in irfanview they show as captions. I will happily register this product once I can resolve these issues.

thx

the TWG info tab?

The "problem" with irvenview is that they go through a couple of fields and the pick the first hit. So you never know which field is used.

Here you find the list of normally used codes:

http://phpgraphy.sourceforge.net/manual ... pas04.html

You know that you have to start the extraction of iptc data manually in the administration? And if you have edited the cation once it is not overwritten anymore by iptc data.

Ok, success with captions. I had to use the 2#120 and reread the IPTC data.

Now onto another problem, I notice that there is a bug in the ajax filmstrip, when I am on the thumbnail page and select an image past the first three, when the image page loads only the three previous images will show in the filmstrip along with all the others in the album.

This can be seen at http://wilkinshouse.com/twg/index.php?t ... ember_1998, if you choose the picture with ripley's in it you will see that only the images back to the SF skyline are shown, this seem to fix itself if you click the left arrow in the strip.

Are you sure? Because all images have to loaded before the strip moves - so this can take a while if not all thumbnails are created.

Yes, if you goto http://wilkinshouse.com/twg/index.php?t ... ember_1998 and click on the Ripley's picture, if you look at the pictures to the left only four pictures are shown even though there are eight in front of this pictures as shown on the thumbnail screen. On the other side if you click on the first picture in the album the last four pictures in the album are not shown

Oh - this is a feature ;). Normally I assume that you scroll forward. Therefore I only load the minimum of images to the left and more to the right. If you go the other way by clicking on the arrow at the end I do this the other way...

Is there a way to just load all of the thumbnails into the strip?

you can increase

$cmotion_gallery_limit_ie=40;
$cmotion_gallery_limit_firefox=20;

and in the code you would have to increase
$cmotionoverlap
in inc/cmotiongallery.inc.php

But remember - loading all images takes also much more time. So you should NOT create albums with e.g. 100 images
Or use the flash thumbnail because it does load the images dynamically.

ok, just changing the limits did what I wanted it to do. Is there possibly a way to flex this depending on the speed of the connection detected? I am not sure how you control or test for this.

thx

There is a low bandwidth mode. Check the config. There you can set the numbers in the thumbnailstrip as well.
