Hi all,

sorry, I've searched the forum and created .htaccess and .htusers as described in this thread /viewtopic.php?t=734 (I'm not allowed to post URLs as this is my first posting). But I do not get it to work. Now it always asks for username and password, even after entering the correct data. The path should be correct. Is there any manual for TWG how to restrict access? My target: I would like to supply username and password to some users so they get access. Everyone else should not even see the mainpage (so I don't want to use TWGs password option).

but then this is not a TWG thing.

This is the basic usage of a .htaccess.

You can use a global private.txt - then the user is asked before he can access the gallery.

Hi Michael,

yes, it seems that the generated password was wrong (or more likely I had a typing error). Anway, using the generator at http://www.fueralles.de/htaccess-Generator.html it works fine now.
