Hi,
My gallery works great apart from the Captions or Comments don't display when you first browse the gallery in a session. After clicking around a couple of pics it suddenly starts to display, although every few clicks the captions and comments will vanish. If the user returns to the root page and then selects a gallery it all starts over again not initally displaying captions etc.

I have looked around at other people's galleries and the only difference that I can see is that they have safe mode disabled. This is not an option for me. But seeing as the captions do display eventually is it really necessary? Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm stuck on my own!

I never had this problem.

Do you have an url - and where should be captions - and how have you entered it?

Hi,

I am prevented from adding my webaddress, it is my username dot com.

captions in the honda gallery.

I added them by logging into the website and then using the Caption facility.

Thanks for looking.

seems like the xml is not loaded when entering the first time - after clicking on the thumbnail below it works fine.

Any messages in the log file?

weired - this are only problems in the administration because of not permissions you don't have.

the problem is that the ajax seems to be able to load the captions ...

is there any difference when you turn the session cache off ?

No, it's excatly the same. No captions on the first two images viewed, and then they suddenly appear.

can you please open inc/readxml.inc.php

and set
$enhanced_debug=true;

at the very top (it is set to false by default).

Then let me know - i then et much more info in the debug i can check

forgot:

please set:

$precache_xml_background=true;

to

$precache_xml_background=false;

in the config.php

You don't have to post the debug file. Simply let me know when the setting is done. (you can delete the debug file then).
I have to check the file while browsing.

seems somewhere a encoding is too much or to less - seems to be related to filesname with spaces. I try to rebuild the problem.

Please check if this happens too with filenames without spaces!

it's not the case you have filenames without spaces as well.

Only way is to really debug - can you give me access to the TWG admin?
and please make sure the inc folder gets 777 because I have to enter some debug code and you have safe mode on ;).

You can sent me the info by email - please don't post them here!
