I should start off saying how thoroughly impressed I am with JFU! I have just started to play around with it, and it is very slick and robust. I especially like how it automatically creates all the user folders automatically and populates them with default files and/or folders. One issue that I've run across so far is that hidden files and hidden folders (designated by a period at the beginning of the name) show up in the JFU. For example ".foldername" should not be visible but it is. It is pretty important to me that the hidden stuff remain hidden when viewed with JFU. Is there any way to fix that please?

you have to add this files to the not visible file extensions in the config.

That doesn't work. It only works for files, not folders. And even then, you can only hide a certain type of file... if you have hidden jpg files (.filename.jpg) that are hidden to the system, you either have to show them all or hide them all in JFU. That should be a fairly rare need, but the functionality should be there. The big thing (at least for me) is that there is no way to hide FOLDERS. I have a '.gallery' folder that shows a YOOgallery of photo proofs in a kind of slideshow... I want it to be located in the user's directory for convenience of organization (so all the clients folders aren't duplicated somewhere else), but I don't want the user to be able to view, edit or add to that folder via JFU. I tried excluding '.gallery' and that doesn't work. I tried renaming the folder 'gallery.hid' and excluding 'hid' files but that doesn't work either. It really should just not show hidden folders, plain and simple... that's the point of hiding them on the system level. But if JFU doesn't do that automatically, is there a workaround or fix to hide folders from the JFU view? Thanks.

You can simply add the directories you don't want to see to the

$exclude_directories setting.

and here you can add files you want to hide as well!

About the hidden files - this is a good idea - i will add the posibility to hide all hidden files automatically in the next version.

Please don't use the
$hide_hidden_files
from the 2.10.6 i have sent you - The hidden files where not checked at one place - so if you delete a file the wrong one is deleted.

I have already fixed this in the 2.10.6 you can download now.
simply replace the files in your installation.

It is outside the web dir?

Then you have to set in the config direct folder.png to false. then it's is delivered by a php script.
