Post subject:  empty folder not hidden

last weekend I upgraded from 1.6.3 to 1.7.
I see visual change I did not expect:

- I created several empty folders to use upcomming months for uploading photos (because of security features at the hoster I am not able to create folders via the upload app). Within previous versions all those empty folders were hidden. With the new folder they are shown. (not a real problem, but I liked them hidden).

- the "folder" picture has changed and shows less nice as before (now it shows a folder within a gray background). Is this also works as designed?

Hi.

Empty folders are not hidden anymore because if you create folders in the frontend and don't upload images right away they would not be acessible anymore. And since 1.7 it's possible to do self registration. There the same problem do occur then.
Especially I have some users where they created a folder for someone else and gave him only the rights for this folder. If the folder is hidden this would not work anymore.

About the image - no it should look actually a little bit nicer than before.
Do you have a screenshot ?

The new image should look like this:

ok, too bad for the not hidden folders than....I can live with it.

regarding the "folder" image: it looks exactly like the link you provided. But in the link I also see the gray area around it. Shouldn't the gray part somehow be "transparent" instead of gray?

you mean the 1 px around the image. I will remove this in the next build.
