Post subject:  Are date and time of original picture lost in cache pics?

Hey,
Is there any way to keep the original exif information (date and time, GPS localisation...) in the cache pictures (folder_subfolder_subfolder_picture.jpg.thumb.jpg and folder_subfolder_subfolder_picture.small.jpg) when they are generated ?
Thanks,
JD

You need to use image magick. I had this discussion long time ago and I think I have set the flags that using image magick keeps them. If not you can check the documentation of image magick and modify the convert command.

Hi Michael,
Another quick question : if image magick is installed, using the "Generate TWG cache" button in admin will use it or generate the thumb.jpd and small.jpg without the EXIF data (~27'000 pics in my folders and sub-folders...) ?
Thanks
JD

It will also use image magic if configured. But please check with one image first if the data you requite is still there.

Best,
Michael
