It would be nice if one could download RAW image formats and have TWG cache in JPG format for viewing. |

What I am really looking for is NEF (NIKON RAW) file support. where I can upload the .NEF file and have TWG be able to display the image with out me doing any conversions. Will this be possible? |

Hi, no - how should twg convert it? You would have to provide an preview jpg. Or you would have to have a php class that does the conversion (or maybe image magick can do this) and modify TWG that is does use this class. For movies this thumbnail creation does already exists. Therefore you would only have to extend this piece of code. /Michael |

Hey, Do you know if somebody made the extension in the code ? Would be fantastic to be able to upload .NEF, so if people want to download the picture, they have the best quality. Thanks |

I wish I 'd be good enough to do that. I'm using a readyNas to store my pictures... it's in Switzerland, I'm in Australia. Finding a picture by ftp is really a shame, as I don't have any thumbnail. Just the name... My aim: to have the possibility to see all my pictures (Nikon RAW .NEF too) with TWG installed on the readyNAS. I prefer TWG to Piwigo, as TWG allows easy FTP in multiple sub-folders, without name's restriction. Let us know if someone write such an extension. Cheers |

image magic is supporting nef: http://www.imagemagick.org/script/formats.php But implementing is not changing a few lines as the inut format != the display format. Especially if you upload by ftp the internal flash uploader cannot be used where a plugin could be written which does the conversion. Best, Michael |
