As not all the TWG users might know HTML, I thought it would be nice to have a WYSIWYG editor (even a simple one) when editing the folder.txt ...

I made a photogallery for a friend and she doesn't know any tag at all. I'm teaching her a few but a WYSIWYG editor would be great

You put html in folder.txt?

The intention is to place text there and format it with the stylesheet.

well, yes... :?
I mean, simple tags like <b> <br> <hr> ...
I'm not talking about overall formatting!
But a user might like to give a different weight to a word, change size or color or... even make a link.

well, in the TWGxplorer, after I create a TWG folder description, for example, I can edit the document and enter some tekst.
I would put it there! I mean, I would like to find it there

The same goes for all other txt document, like image description.

Most of the CMS I've seen offer such a 'service'. They are of course a text-oriented CMS, not a photogallery but I think that TWG could become a 'complete' CMS 'just' by adding few features we get from a 'regular' CMS:
- the WYSIWYG editor
- the possibility to add pages of text (without having to create an image folder)

This is no complain at all! I really like what you've created!

good point where to place it.

I might have a cooler place - the Upload flash in version 2.7 has an texteditor already - maybe I enhance this one.

sure, definitely a very cool place!

I guess you won't be happy hearing that I'm not using the flash uploader yet

... anyway, wherever you put it, I'll love it!

thanks again for your great job!

you don't have to - i use ftp mainly too ;).

But with the new version you can offer the user to edit the txt files in the flash - therefore it is possible to offer this to frontend users as well.

Then they don't need the full backend but only the frontend flash.
