I don't really get it with this external html feature.
I wan't to hide certain parts of the loaded iframe with some html code in a html file stored on my server.

So let me walk through your example.
Example 44: Include external html with shortcode and right/bottom alignment

This is the used shortcode:
[advanced_iframe securitykey="your key" use_shortcode_attributes_only="true" src="http://www.tinywebgallery.com" id="advanced_iframe_44" height="300" width="800" scrolling="no" hide_part_of_iframe="r0,b0,459,172,#ff00ff$123,10"]

Your explanation:
1. The html is stored in the advanced-iframe-custom folder
I don't have such a folder when I installed your plugin, do I have to create the folder by myself?

2. and in the config you need to provide the key of this file: hide_<key>.html.
What config do you mean? The settings of the wordpress backend? If not, where can I find the config file?

3. Where is the id="advanced_iframe_44" set? Has this something to do with the html file name?

4. The key is attached with $key to the backround style e.g. #ff00ff$123
That's plausible.

(When I use include_url="//test.html" it only shows the html content but not over the iframe and the iframe isn't shown anymore)

Can you make better explanation because I understand nothing...

I actually don't understand what you do.

because the hide_part_of_iframe is not using any custom file.

you might mixing 2 features and are therefore confused.
Because 2. 3. 4. your write I don't understand.

if you use hide_part_of_iframe you define an area where the plugin does place a div with your settings.

I know that the plugin has many settings but for one feature only 1 or 2 setting s are really needed.

Please explain what you want to hide and I try to give you the right solution for this.

Best, Michael

Hi,

I want to include external html (say another div in green) on that div (in pink) which hides the part of the iframe.

It's like you say in the example.
The content (the red div) is from an external html file, but where is it stored and how can I accomplish this?
A step by step explanation would be great! :)

I don't see any image here.

Have you read the documentation? Because the file can directly created there:

Go to
Advanced Settings -> Show only a part of the iframe -> Hide/cover parts of the iframe (it is quite at the bottom of the section) -> Existing external div files

Best, Michael
