Post subject:  Blocking new updates appearing for all plugins on site

Hi,

Advanced iFrame Pro is blocking wordpress plugin updates. When the plugin is active it seems to block updates from showing. So if any plugin needs an update I do not see that it needs it (not in menu bar). If I click on updates - it says no updates needed (up to date).

I noticed this a few days ago when I could see some plugins hadn't been updated for nearly a month. I updated from 6.4 to the latest version 6.5 - and I still have the same problem.

The only way to see if there are any new updates is to de-activate your plugin. Can you tell me what is causing this and how to fix it please, as I'm not able to keep deactivating the plugin to check if there are updates for all other plugins on site.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards
dmori

Sorry. you are right.

I disabled wordpress updates for my plugin if you are pro. But by mistake I deleted the return value for this function and all updates where discarded.

I will fix this in the next version.

If you want to fix this by yourself look for
add_filter('site_transient_update_plugins
from advanced-iframe.php

you find this 2 times. Simply remove both (one is correct but I'll take care for the correct one in a small update of the codecanyon ).

Best, Michael

Hi Michael,

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.

If you're planning on doing the update in the next few days I can wait. Be great if you could message me through here when you post the update on codecanyon.

Cheers
Dmori

Hi Michael,

I updated to the latest version yesterday - but now nothing shows. All of the pages using the iframe embed code are completely blank. Not sure what I have done. I replaced the old plugin with the current plugin via ftp. I have also resaved the settings on the iframe plugin page to see if this makes any difference.

Look forward to hearing from you.

I just tested this version and also compared it to the version before.
the only code change is the change of the update check.

Do you have an url where I see this?

I've done some more testing and it's a conflict with WP rocket caching plugin.

I've tried every combination and the conflict is when HTML>Inline CSS & Inline JS is checked (Minification & Concatenation) in WP Rocket.

Interesting. does this also happen if you refresh the cache? Because the plugin does create a lot of css/JS dynamically.
And can you provide a link where it does not work? I can maybe see there the optimization does kill something.

Can you provide the shortcode you use? That I see which features you use.

I am using the basic code at the moment.

[advanced_iframe securitykey="c4e21-MY-CODE-79f32" src="http://URL"]

But than all the settings from the administration are used....

If you enable the optimization. Do you see any Javascript errors?

Hi Michael,

I'm happy to give you admin access to site if you'd like. Is there a way I can send you login details confidentially?

Of course - silly me.

I want to do a few more tests just to make sure first. I want to go through all plugins activated etc....

I'll be back with an update.
