Post subject: | Simple responsive iframe needed |
My BACKGROUND I've used Wordpress, plugins, and shortcodes for many years, and have spent many hours reading all the documentation / instructions, and also ALL relevant forum posts as I did not want to waste your time. However, I've been unable to get a fairly simple result, so I'm hoping your experience will assist in getting this set up right. THE SCENARIO I have full control over mysite.com and that's where the plugin is installed. The iframes on mysite.com show various external.coms that I do not have any control over. I have 3 main needs: 1. I need the iframes on my site to be responsive, sizing itself based on device / browser size RESULT: It seems to do this fine 2. In cases where the external.com is responsive, then it needs to display correctly depending on device / browser size. RESULT: external.com is responding responsively, however I cannot no matter what settings I put seem to be able to get the height to auto-detect / auto-adjust. 3. In cases where the external.com is not responsive, then it needs to zoom to fit the iframe size. RESULT: I have have been completely unsuccessful in getting this feature working. CLOSING Please help with the correct settings or shortcode parameters that I need. Happy to provide anything that you might need from me. Many thanks for your work in creating this plugin, and for your supporting it. Kind regards, Nick |

If you don't have access you can not do auto height. See the quickstart guide for details here. Depending on your setup different features are available. Have you read http://www.tinywebgallery.com/blog/responsive-iframes-with-advanced-iframe-pro Here I explain how responsive iframe can be done and what is needed. So 2. is not possilbe without scrollbar. About 3. As you cannot use auto height you can only use "Auto zoom iframe with a fix ratio" Se ehttp://www.tinywebgallery.com/blog/advanced-iframe/advanced-iframe-pro-demo/auto-zoom-iframe-content#e35 for a working example. Does this already help you? Best, Michael |
