Is there an option to add WFU to a page and allow users to upload to a directory on the server? |

Not yet. But you can include TFU directly to a page. The problem is not to include it but to also offer a flexible configuration. Maybe I add this for the next version. But I have to check first how to include content to a page in Wordpress. Because for plugins I only have the option to include stuff do one of the sidebars. Do you know a plugin where this is done? - Michael |

I don't really know how this is done, but I think you can accomplish that using the Wordpress Shortcode API. Wordpress uses shortcodes to place content onto a page. |

Right - I already downloaded a plugin which includes a flash. I think I'll add this to the next version of WFU - it will then be somethink like [wfu securitykey=xxx]. A securitykey is important because otherwise someone is adding wfu to a page and gets full access to the images directory. - Michael |

Please use WFU 2.12.1 - Now you can use the flash in the frontend as well! - Michael |

I posted this in the Wordpress forum, but am adding this here too (as I'm nor a registered user) I set up WPU and it works fine on the backend for admin use, but the front end fails with an error in the page: TWG Flash Uploader requires at least Flash 8. Please go to adobe and install it. I tried it on different OS versions and with another of my websites (wp 3.0.2 and different theme) and the results were the same in all cases. It's the same in latest Firefox and IE8. In IE8 it shows the additional warning: 'swfobject' is undefined Apart from that it works fine ? Ta CW |

Then the javascript library which includes the flash is not found. Do you have a redirect somewhere. If you have firebug you can see if the file is loaded. - Michael |

No redirects other than the WP permalinks. The URL should still be valid to the root of the install folder though? |

Aha ... I switched off permalinks and it shows correctly in the page. Of course my site now has ugly URL's and all my interweb links pointing to my site no longer work .... so I switched permalinks back on. I take it that the WFU code needs a tweak so that it will work with permalinks on? |

I have not tested this - it should be quite easy to fix this - only the javascript files has to be found. which settings did you turn on exaclty and which version of wordpress do you use? Best, Michael |

Can you please download 2.12.2. I updated the version that absolute paths and not relative paths are used to include the flash. e.g. an /about/ was causing the the needed files where not found because /about/ was treated as main dir. Please let me know it this fixes this. Best, Michael |

Yup, works fine. But ..... I ended up using the TFU in an iFrame in the front end as I have user access/restrictions with that. I though WFU would/could be secured to only work with a WP user login, but I guess not. Works fine in an iFrame though Backend is still WFU |
