Post subject:  Do Master Profiles work in the Backend?

I have set up a Master Profile that I want to use in the backend of Joomla, but when I login with the user assigned to that profile, it only opens to the "Upload folder" and not to the subfolder that would be created by the Master Profile. I have set the permissions to 0777 for the upload folder. I'm running Joomla 2.5 with the most recent versions of Joomla and JFU.

In the backend master profiles are not implemented. Do you have so many backend users that this is needed?

Not really. Only we don't use frontend logins, so everybody uses the backend and there are some users we don't want to have access to everything.

Thanks for your help!

It would be a nice feature to select whether or not to use Master Profiles in the backend, either registered or not. Another feature for Master Profiles would be to use a timestamp to create the new folder. I have a user setup for people to submit photos to our photo album that I give the login info to certain people after events if they took pictures. Because multiple people would use this login, the Master Profile wouldn't create a new folder for each person to use the user unless there was something different about each of them, such as the time.

You don't have to use master profiles. Simply assign a profile to each user.
Masterprofiles do have the ip option but masterprofiles are not implemented in the backend.
