I now have JFU working generally, but after trying various different settings I can't get the JFU Editor extension button to show up on the JFU Upload screen.

I've following the Video instructions, unloaded and reloaded the component and tried all kinds of variations of other things in JFU settings, just to be sure. Nothing seeems to bring back the JFU Editor extension button, which I DID have at one point when other things in JFU didn't work right.

It may not have anything to do with JFU, but I find that when a Registered user gets on any webpage there is an edit icon in the upper right corner, but when this is used the Editor window they can work in has a blue background, and whatever they enter will show while THEY are logged on, but doesn't appear to the public, non-registered, visitors. Think this is normal for Joomla, since it also happens in the separate "Submit an Article" page for Registered users. Just want to be clear.

I don't know what you mean?

There is no video for the editor extension button.
Please don't mix the normal jfu plugin with the JFU editor button plugin. this are 2 different things.

The editor button has to show at the bottom at the editor.
So I don't know what the JFU upload screen means.

Understood. I DON'T get the JFU Editor button, (as shown in the instructions, the rounded outline box with "JF Uploader in it) in the Uploader screen where users can mark and upload files to their own folders for use in the website. Is THAT where it's supposed to appear, or did I misunderstand.

Also from what you said "Please don't mix the normal jfu plugin with the JFU editor button plugin. this are 2 different things." If I understand you I should use the JFUploader Editor button with the JFUploader Component WITHOUT the JFU Plugin. That may be the problem since I now have all three loaded.

Which uploader screen?

The button with "JFUploader" should appear below the editor where you find also "Page break"

It does not matter if you have enabled both plugins. Because they are just 2 different ways to use the JFUploader. In the Editor or in anarticle.
