Hi all, I downloaded JFUploader earlier in the week, fed up with the standard Joomla media manager. It worked straight away, without me setting up a profile or changing any config / permissions. However, when I logged in again, I could not upload a file to any folder except 'images'. I received the message "no write permissions" on all other folders, including the main folder. I have tried altering the permission to 755 or 777 under Info / Limits / Register and checked the settings under Permissions without success. I'm wondering if I do need to set up a profile / group (I am a super user) but not sure then why it originally worked perfectly straight away. Any help or suggestions gratefully received! Have you compared the owner/permissions of the images folder and any of the other folder? Is save mode enabled on your system? Best, Michael |

Thanks Michael, you're right, it does appear that other folders have different permissions; folders created with JFU (and images) are accessible (777) but those created with Joomla in-built media manager are not (755) and I'm not able to change those it appears, so I will see if I can get that done by the host. Safe mode is not on. Thanks, you've helped me work out what the issue is. S |
