Hi all,

I downloaded JFUploader earlier in the week, fed up with the standard Joomla media manager. It worked straight away, without me setting up a profile or changing any config / permissions.

However, when I logged in again, I could not upload a file to any folder except 'images'. I received the message "no write permissions" on all other folders, including the main folder.

I have tried altering the permission to 755 or 777 under Info / Limits / Register and checked the settings under Permissions without success.

I'm wondering if I do need to set up a profile / group (I am a super user) but not sure then why it originally worked perfectly straight away.

Any help or suggestions gratefully received!

Many thanks,

Steve

Have you compared the owner/permissions of the images folder and any of the other folder?
Is save mode enabled on your system?

Best,
Michael

Thanks Michael, you're right, it does appear that other folders have different permissions; folders created with JFU (and images) are accessible (777) but those created with Joomla in-built media manager are not (755) and I'm not able to change those it appears, so I will see if I can get that done by the host.

Safe mode is not on.

Thanks, you've helped me work out what the issue is.

S
