Hi, the volume that I want to store my files on is not on a relative path with the joomla install. Can we indicate an absolute path for the upload folder? I've tried a symbolic link and interestingly JFU does not "find" the folder/link even though it is clearly there..?? and next seems the only permissions I can get use that configures the upload folder correctly is 777, which is something I don't want to do. How do I fix so it uses the permissions that the joomla install has (wwwdata). thanks rg |

No. For absolute path you have to modify some code because the Joomla wrapper does use relative paths. how have you created the symbolic link? How do you create the upload folder? You can create the folder with JFU or Joomla then it should have the permissions Joomla has. - Michael |
