I have JFU configured with the following limits:

PHP upload limit (in KB): 20480000000
PHP memory limit (in KB): 174080000
Max. resize resolution: ~ 199029 x 149459
PHP max input time: 1800000 s
PHP max execution time: 1800000 s
Default socket timeout: 1800000 s

I have tried various limits but the downloads ALWAYS fail at around 24,000 kb and usually gives an I/O.

Im using IIS7 and Joomla 1.6.

Yes but this just times out. The file in question is large 1.5 gig.

Does the download work if you directly download it though the browser? As workaround you can easily show a download link below the flash. See the registered demo example.

Yes it works fine browsing to the file. Im afraid this is not an option we need the files to go through the flash. Shall I post logs for you to see? If so which ones

why do you need to go through the flash? Is it not enough that is is triggered by the flash?

The direct download link cannot be overtly visible because of sensitive nature of the material being distributed. So are you basically saying that it cannot work?

I just did a local test with 1.4 GB.

This worked fine. So it is not a limitation of Flash itself but something of the server, a proxy ...

Ok so I have changed all the php.ini settings to allow huge file downloads/uploads. What else needs changing I am using IIS 7.

Please check here:

There is a small part for IIS too. I don't know if this has to do with download also.
You might have to check in your IIS log files for details.

Best,
Michael

This is the error in the JFU log every time a download stops. The IIS log gives 200 successful
