Hi,

I installed your uploader and it's exactly what I'm looking for. Unfortunately after a few hours, I can't get it to work.

Joomla v 1.5.20
TFU Version 2.12.1
Linux server

I'm trying to run it as a stand-alone component, just to get it working right now. The Flash shows on the admin side, but it's behind the error I explain below.

I get the following error on the admin side:

You are trying to use the TWG Upload Flash without authentication, the server login failed, expired or the configuration could not be found!

Here are the fixes that I tried which I found here under point (b):
http://www.tinywebgallery.com/en/tfu/web_faq.php#1

1. Changed all permissions in ALL .php file in administrator/components/com_jfuploader to 755. I also changed similar permissions in components/com_jfuploader.
2. I created a .htaccess file as instructed here:
http://www.tinywebgallery.com/en/tfu/web_faq.php#5
3. I then moved on to here:
That is a 404---above link broken.
4. Since I didn't make any changes to any .php file, except for permissions, #6 of this faq doesn't apply.

The error I'm receiving on the front end:
You are not logged in.

JFUploader is configured to use a master profile. This is only enabled after a valid login.

I'd assume this is as a result of the error on the back end, and once that's repaired, all will be well.

I really like the idea of this component and as I said, it's exactly what I was looking for. My client wants to run a photo contest on his site, and this is the perfect solution.

So any help at this point is highly appreciated.

Thank you.

Hi Michael,

I don't know where I got that link now. Can't find it. I'll search around and if I find it again I'll let you know. Sorry.

I get a 500 error when I call the admin login, along with this:

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Apache/2.2.15 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.15 OpenSSL/0.9.7a mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635. Server at http://www.upnorth411.com Port [xxx]

I also registered the component but my results are the same.

If you have an error 500 it's a server error.

have you access to the log file of the server? There you normally get the exact problem.
Most of the time the restrictions are too loose and your server does not like this.

I this I have found the link and fixed it ;).

Lol that's why I couldn't find the link again.

Either way, the flash shows now after I changed the permissions on administrator/components to 755. Don't know how it came to be 775.

Now however, I get the .htaccess error and when I create the file, it tell me to remove the file again.

This is the final entry on the error log at that point:

Invalid command 'SecFilterEngine', perhaps misspelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration, referer: http://www.mydomain.com/administrator/i ... act=upload

Michael,

I got it working. My host had to white-list the swf. So I'm sorted for now on this particular subject.

Thanks mate.:D
