Post subject: | JFU + NOD32 Upload problem |
I´m having some problems uploading big files with NOD32 antivirus installed and HTTPs filtering active. The problem is the same as the one described in FAQ section (or somewhere) with KARPERSKY ANTIVIRUS. With NOD32, even adding the domain into the Exclude List, the problem persist. Only deactivating de hold HTTP analisis (for all kind of domains) JFU works fine. Maybe you can help me to fine a better solution than deactivating the HTTP Filter. Please, let me know if you need further information. thanks |

unfortunately this is a problem I cannot do anything. I have already written to KARPERSKY because for me this clearly an error in their filter. And it seems that e.g. NOD32 is using the same one. I don't know why they detect this. Maybe something in the format how flash does the upload. It is known that it is not 100% like a normal html upload but this can only be changed by Adobe. Michael |

Thank you Michael for your answer. Well, at least we already know how to solve the problem. My question now is: Do you know what doeas "deactivating" that filter involve? I mean, wich are the risks, colateral effects, etc (in security terms) in order to inform to my customers when they need to do that. Do you have an idea? |

You would have to ask nod32 for details. A http filter does e.g. restrict the length of urls, can filter e.g. file extensions (which are filtered later on for any harmfull anyway). Best would be to write to nod32 too to fix this problem. - Michael |
