Hi I'e added the description to jfu, however i use another compoent for reading the files which need to be the exact same filename except for the extension before .txt EG i upload an mp3 file called mymusic.mp3 add the desciption in teh uplaoder, file created is mymusic.mp3.txt - cIs there a way to get rid of .mp3 in the txt file? is this possible? Many thanks Ben |

yes - see the prefix plugin. You can do the same what is done in there except renaming anything. The new filename is then used later on for the description. The only problem is that the filename is also used later on to clean the thumbs cache (which I think you have not activated  .)And that this name is used in the e-mail notification... For a nicer solution you simply have to edit tfu_upload.php (a removeExtension method is already available). - Michael |

Ok will loook into that tomorrow - many thanks. Quick question - if i set my session cookie lower ( say 10 minutes) and say i or a member wanted to use the frontend upload. Upload a file thats large and takes say 40 minutes, will the file stil upload or will the session cut the download or create a problem? Just so i know before i test it! Cheers Ben |
