| Post subject: | Joomla email failures |
I have Joomla 1.XXX on my server. When users register I get an email. I have configured the JFU component to sent an email to me. I have tried many email address in the "from" and "to" fields with no success. In the FROM field I am using the same email that I have as admin on the joomla site. Is there something I am missing? My PHP.ini settings are my smtp server and my email there is the same as the one I have specified in JFU. I have checked my spam folders to make sure the emails did not get lost... still nothing. |

I found the answer to my own question and thought I would post it here in case it benefits anyone. My mail server did not allow the relay feature. I had to have my provider change that so that I could send out mail through the php mail function. Perhaps a future version of JFU can include an SMTP mail feature? |
