tfu_readDir is directly called from the flash -

the information where it can be found is in the tfu_config.php (this is the first file called by the flash to initialize everything).

Therefore I think the path is not properly passed. you can actually add a debug message in the tfu_config.php - use debug($readdir_file);

below where the $readdir_file is set.

The debug message should appear in the log file or in the tfu.log in the tfu dir.

Post subject:  Joomla Flash Uploaderundefined

I have been able to setup this component on my shared hosting account with Godaddy (US host provider). It works great!

I wanted to install and register it for a client, but when I set it up on their shared hosting account (siteground) it returns the error "Uploaderundefined" at the top of the Uploader window.

I am a beginner on joomla, and after reading this post, i have to admit, a lot of it is beyond me.

I have been able to find out that the hosting provider has "safe mode off" and allows for .htaccess. I just don't know what I need to do to correct this error.

Could you provide some beginner instructions to solve the Uploaderundefined error message.

Thank you for your time.

try to find if there is a log file in the tfu folder tfu.log and check if you get a message there.

Hi Michael

thanks for your quick response. I've been away for a few days. Really looking to figure this out in the next day or two. The client loves the working version I created on my servers.

I took look in the TFU folder. Unfortunately, there are no log files inside of the TFU folder.

Any suggestions? Really hoping to register and get this up for the client ASAP.

Thanks in advance

can you try the standalone version of TFU 2.7 (you get it here in the forum) on this host and check if this works? Because there I have added some more workarounds for servers that have special settings.

Hi Michael

Ug... This is taking far too long. Sorry for huge delay between posts. Hope you can help us quickly on this. We took your suggestion and installed the stand alone version. The demo worked perfectly, but when we attempted to embed it into our clients site, we received an error message. Please view the error since I can't post a link or image yet on this board.

Error
You are trying to use the TWG Upload Flash without authentication, the server login failed, expired or the configuration could not be found!

We know it will work on the server since we had the demo working perfectly. What are we missing at this point? The second this works, we will register it for our client. Thank you for your quick response

try to call the tfu_config.php directly. you have either a php error somewhere or you cannot access this file because of maybe a .htaccess somewhere.

Hi Michael

Here is the page you suggested to call. http://www.denverlifemagazine.com/TFU/tfu.htm

It works fine. But when we try to embed the uploaded into the site, we get an error. You can see the error here:
http://www.denverlifemagazine.com/index ... &Itemid=96

We really would like to get this working for the client this week. What other services (support) do you offer? Would you fix the problem for us for a fee?

Hi,

The 1st link you posted does not work.

And on the 2nd one I only get the login of TFU (are you not using JFU - because this seems like a Joomla site to me ?). where I don't have a login.

But if you get to the login then you don't have the first problem anymore ...

About support. I offer support on a hourly rate as well. Simply contact me by e-mail.
