Post subject:  Problem $_SESSION["TFU_LAST_UPLOADS"]

Hello Michael,

Small problem which popped up with two customers in the last week.

When customers do an upload TFU appears to stop.
After a bit of research I found out that $_SESSION["TFU_LAST_UPLOADS"] didn't even exist. All other session vars appeared to be present.

After I deleted the session_cache directory everything worked again for a while until the same problem appeared.

Could there be a problem with simultanious uploads?
What if two users use the puloader at the same time?

This is not a problem because each of them have their own session.

Are you using TFU standalone or JFU?

But even when using the session_cache folder this is strange because after the upload I actually save the session if session cache folder exists.
Which version do you use?

We use TFU Standalone version 2.7

If the session_cache folder is removed, will it be put back after an upload?

it's actually created if TFU detects a problem. Are you using 2.7.0?

Because TFU is at 2.8.3 already and a lot of improvements where done.

I have enhanced the session recovery in 2.7.1, 2.7.4.1 and 2.8.0.3. Especially the one in 2.7.4.1 could fix your problem because before the session cache folder could be created by an invalid request and now it's cleaned up automatically.

I'll upgrade to 2.8 and see what happens.

Thanks Michael!

Be aware that the php files where refactored. Therefore it looks a little bit different but it should be much easier now ;).

That didn't help tho.

Customer complained again with the same problem.
All session vars are lost and the session_cache directory is back.
After deleting the directory things go back to normal.

don't you get this error message in the log:

It seems that the session handling of the server is not o.k. TFU already tried a workaround that does not seem to work. TFU deleted the session_cache folder.....

This is in the log file:

03.20.2009 14:10:50 - ERROR 8 in /var/www/html/back/tfu/tfu_config.php, line 3: A session had already been started - ignoring session_start()

Are you sure you did not mix up versions somehow? Because in tfu_config.php is not session_start() !
