Post subject:  Program frozen.

Hi,

When TWG displays picture A, I click picture B thumbnail, TWG displays new frame size of picture B with stretched picture A inside, then it's frozen, and never displays picture B. The only thing I solve this problem is close browser window, and open a new one.

Please advise, thanks.

I used TWG1.5.5 on linux webserver, and use IE to access website.

Sometimes openning browser window right after twg frozen does not solve problem, I have to wait for a while to open a new window, then it works normal again. Maybe webserver timeout (?) or kill process.

maybe one of the background tasks ...

First please use the rc2 in the forum - I have like optimized everything there since 1.5.5 ;). If you still have the problem there -please let me know.

I installed 1.6 RC2, and twg is still hung after displayed few pictures. 1.6RC2 doesnot show a streched pict.A in pict.B frame before displaying pict.B, so it's an improvement.

Does any PHP system setting cause this problem ?

anything i n the logs?

server log ? counter/my_debug.out

try to set

$precache_xml_background=true;

to $precache_xml_background=false;

they you do less in the background.

Maybe there is something like a restrition of parallel requests.
Have you tried the html version?

Post subject:  Incorrect counter of Images in folder in 1.6R2

Hi,

After I generated cache images by login as "administrator", the number of images in 1 folder displayed at the main page remains constant!!!
After I used FTP client to upload few images, then shutdown browser and open new browser window, the image counter of that folder is still unchanged at the main page. But the counter is correctly displayed inside the folder page.

Thanks.

In fact, if I use FTP client upload pictures to folders now, none of them displays number of pictures correctly. The numbers stay the same even if I close and open new browser window.
1.5.5 does display the correct number after openning new browser window.

Post subject:  Caching

Please read howto 43 of the included howtos of the 1.6 zip.

This is one day caching. Click on the bandwidthicon to refresh this cache too!

Thank you.

In mydebug.out, I saw a lot of error messages of video playing:

03.18.2007 14:30:40 - ERROR 2 in ublic_html/twg/inc/filefunctions.inc.php, line 1658: fopen(pictures/1.7-MDCR/0-Video/2006-Pinic.jpg.wvx): failed to open stream: Permission denied

03.18.2007 14:30:40 - ERROR 2 in ublic_html/twg/inc/filefunctions.inc.php, line 1661: fputs(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource

03.18.2007 14:30:40 - ERROR 2 in ublic_html/twg/inc/filefunctions.inc.php, line 1662: fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource

TWG played video fine, but the debug file showed the above errors.

you need write access in this folder - TWG tries to generate a playlist file to enable streaming.
