I love TinyWebGallery! I'm not a photographer though--I am using the gallery to show art I drew with pens. I want to change the "info," so that when you click it, it can say "media" instead of "camera model," and I want to change a few of the others too.

I also cannot tell how to change the data--TWG does some of it automatically, like the counter and the image size, but how would I tell it what shutter speed I used or what model of camera? Since I could not find anything in the FAQ, the how-to's, or this forum, I guess it probably means I am very dumb. XD haha But hopefully that means it will be easy for you smart people to answer my questions!

1. How do I change what categories of info TWG displays for an image?
2. How do I fill in the answers to those categories?

This is exif data that is stored in the image.

in the language file there is a section:

$lang_exif_info = array("Kameramodel" => "model", "Exif Datum" => "DateTime", "Brennweite" =>
"focalLength", "Blende" => "fnumber", " Belichtungszeit" => "exposureTime", "ISO" => "isoEquiv");

where e.g. model is the key in the exif.

you could e.g. use your own descriptions there and add exif data with an external tool.

e.g.

"Media" => "media"

only the stuff that is in the array above is displayed! therefore you can configure it how you like!

are some editors - I haven't tried one of there - if you do - tell me which one you liked best.

I think xnview can edit exif data too!

xnview can only edit IPCT data - I will support this is the next version of TWG because I read the tags from there.

But there are for sure other tools that edit exif data too!

Thank you so much! What a quick reply. ^_^

I found that part of the file, and I'll download an exif editor. I don't know if I'll actually start doing that for all my images (it sounds like lots of work) but I'm glad I know how if I decide I need to.

Thank you again! I really love this gallery script--it's the first one I've found that I can figure out how to use properly, and I'm not very good at programming so I really appreciate that. Thanks for all the hard work you put into it!
