hello

i have tiny web gallery running in both Windows/IIS and Linux/apache, and my temporary directories (c:\windows\temp and /var/lib/php5) fill my harddisk with session logs, how can i configure TWG so there won't be any junk in my temporary directories? i have tried disabling the option "Enable session caching of directories and files" as administrator but that doesn't seem to have any effect at all.

tnx

hello

so you say those files are not created by TWG, but by php. but do you or anyone else know how to configure php in a way so those files are not created, because i don't know php that well and i now still have the problem that those files are created (some days more than a thousand) and it fills up my hard drive, so my new question is: does anyone know how to configure php in a way those "sess_" files are not created?

tnx

do you have several thousands users a day in the gallery?

Because one file per active user should exist an deleted after the session timeout by your server.

i have that many visitors, not because of the contents of the site, but because of the name(URL) of the site , and the site is mostly used to test new things and programs, like twg

but every time a person visits the site a "sess_" file is created and then never deleted

i can make a cron-job ( i assume you know what that is) to delete the contents of the temp directory every week or so, but that's a quick and dirty fix and i don't want to resort to that, because that only fixes the symptoms, not the problem
