Post subject: | Browsing directories directly |
Hi, Just noticed that when I enter the twg URL and add /pictures I can browse through all of my images! #removed_broken_link Gives me a web-based (non-TWG) interface to the folder structure where you can open private.txt files and browse the entire folder structure below /pictures. Is there something I have to do to prevent this from happening? Or is there a setting I have overlooked? (maybe place an empty index.html?) If you have to use .htaccess files for this, does anyone have an example? Cheers DJ |

Please see howto 1 of the TWG howtos. an example e.g. can be found in the inc folder. Just wondering why not many people seems to read the howtos - they are really helpful . Best, Michael |

I've read every single how-to. Think that I just might be to stupid When looking at the .htaccess from the inc folder I was under the impression that would block *ALL* access.. (so I never tried) After testing it looks like this will not block TWG from showing pictures but it will block anyone else from viewing the file structure in a browser (for example). Is that correct? This means I have to copy this .htaccess file to each folder? DJ |

. No - .htaccess files work recursively. simply put it in the pictures folder. Best, Michael |
