Hello

I set a video gallery in my site but the images displayed don't have the link to download. The images are named the same way the videos but I uncertain if I configured right the my_config.php file. The gallery works to photos, only the videos don't download. Anyone can help me?

Thanks.

Edson

Hi,

I have only entered a couple of extensions in the config.
which extension are you using for the videos?

are watermarks rendered on the images?

I'm using avi extension, and the videos are encoded in divx. I've noticed that AVI are in the config. And the watermarks are rendered correctly.

If the watermarks are rendered the filename are fine.

the behavior should be that you click on a thumbnail - then get to the detail site and if you then click on the image you can download the avi and not the image itself.

does the download work for the other images?

maybe you have disabled download at all ?
$enable_download

has to be true!

Thank you Michael! Now it works fine! I knew that I'm doing something wrong. The problem was the $enable_download variable set to false.

That huge list of variables is kinda confusing to configure. It will be a great improvement if you could configure it through the administration panel...

Just one more question: how can I retrieve a lost password to the admin backend? I've changed the default but I cannot remember the password...

Thank you so much!

in the next build 1.4.1 there will be a preconfigured my_config.php with the most interesting 30 parameters.

For most people this is enough - and everybody who want to make more changes can start to go through the config.php itself.
maybe 1.0 will have an administration for these 30 most interesting switches - because a config for all is just too much to do right now and I have to work for living as well ;).

To get you password back - you can't :).
but you can restore the old user file! admin/config/.htusers.php
just copy the old one from the download there!

Hello!

I have some problems with my video gallery too. I tried to set up a video on my personal gallery here,. I generated a thumb, watermark is fine, video is WMV, but unfortunately, when clicking on the picture, I'm forwarded to an external website...

I added wmv to $other_file_format, I set $enable_download to true... but with no luck... Any idea? I'm sure I'm missing something, but can't find what...

Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately this has nothing to do with TWG.

If you go to :
http://lemarie.freehostia.com/TWG/pictures/Videos/

The normal listing is shown. This is not TWG anymore but your browser. If you klick on the video you are forwarded to this site.
You should ask your web provider about this - maybe thy don't allow direct links to e.g. wmv or very big files.

Soory I cannot help you here,

/Michael
