this looks o.k. and a 5.6 I run on my demos: http://www.tinywebgallery.com/demo/info.php

So actually I don't know what could be the problem. Do you need any new features of 2.4.4 ?

Best, Michael

I can stay with 2.4.1 but I try always to update to the latest version to keep up. I like a new masonry style which looks good and seems to work faster and would try it but no choice then as to stay with previous version if the new one has these problems.

I think the masonry is really cool too :): This is why I implemented it.

Can you make a clean parallel installation on your server?
I would like to solve this issue but I never had this on any of my systems...

I does not happen on any of my systems.

especially Cannot read file with lock: xml/_image_text.xml is strange.Can you look into this file?
Because I only get a read lock here! means the file is only blocked is someone writes it.

Do you have images in the main folder?

and can you look if you have any errors in your server php log?

Because I do e.g. lock the file during writing. And only if inside there maybe someting goes wrong the file is not unlocked anymore...

Best, Michael

Q: especially Cannot read file with lock: xml/_image_text.xml is strange.Can you look into this file?

A: There is no such a file at all in xml folder but only a bunch of .bak files, e.g. _image_text.xml_20171201204153.bak etc.

Q: Do you have images in the main folder?

A: No.

Q. and can you look if you have any errors in your server php log?

A: How can I find it? I am on my internet provider's server who hosts webpages... I logged into SQL but don't know where to find a logfile.

Thanks,
Best,
Mair

Shit. Can you simply zip the whole TWG folder and put in in a dropbox for me?
I then can put into my php 5.6 an check. Maybe I find out something.

php error files -> ask your hoster - sometimes they are where the statistics are.

Best, Michae

I have tested it local on my php 5.6.14.
I don't get any errors.

Can you enable enhanced debug? This maybe gives more infos.
set
$enable_enhanced_debug=true;

Dear Michael,
here what it gives with enhanced debug:

<br />
<b>Parse error</b>: syntax error, unexpected 'version' (T_STRING) in <b>/var/www/sda/7/f/ailaron.mairchik/photos/counter/_mydebug.out</b> on line <b>7</b><br />
