Post subject:  .slide versus .small

Because of memory restrictions on my server I always make my own .thumb and .small images. Now I see .slide images also in the cache directory. They are the same height as my .small images (but a few pixels different in width).

My question: do I need both .slide and .small images? Can a single file suffice?

Thank you,
Alan

Since 1.8.3 the .slide images are not needed anymore because of the new optimized slideshow. This does not need that all images have the same size.
So if you run 1.8.3 you can simly delete them.

Michael

Thank you.

Are the .small used?

Does the new version save time if .slide exists? (.small?)

Sure - this are the default images displayed on the detail page.

I'm uncertain if you mean .small and .slide are both used and will save time or just one of them (and if so which of them).

thank you,
Alan

you only need .small ! This are the importand ones. .slide should not be generated anymore since TWG 1.8.3
