Post subject:  Slideshow - not exiting to last picture

I'm working on setting up TWG along with learning Linux (I know UNIX, but this is a bit different!) and am slowly getting things configured to work well.

I really want to use the slide show feature, and it works fine...unless you exit - then it tries to go to the index.php.... Here is the offending line that shows in my browsers (both IE and Mozilla Firefox):
Quote:
http://66.80.5.3/index.php?twg_album=Airplanes&twg_show=wwii_planes_011.jpg&twg_root=../index.php

I know the twg_root=../index.php is the problem, and when I look at the demos on the web, I see that is not there. It fails, because going up one level would just put you in the pictures directory, not the next level up where index.php is. Besides, I don't think that is supposed to be there in the first place.

I just can't figure out how/where/why it gets put in.

LOL, I'm pretty sure it's something I did somewhere (hopefully just in the configuration files).....

Can anyone give some pointers on what to change or where to look?

Ahhh, maybe I'm not looking at this correctly. I thought the end of the url was the problem...but it is pointing to index.php at the very beginning too. That it won't find because it's not pointing to the root of TinyWebGallery13 which is where index.php is located.

Where have you installed it?
In the directory TinyWebGallery13?

Have you changed the $install_dir in the config.php.

Which type of slideshow you are using?

Hi,

I haven't sent you 1.4 beta sometimes ? There was this problem I just fixed.

this problem do also happen, when your session cannot be initialized!
because I store the backlink in the session and if this does not work I use a default - this default works fine for everything except the slideshow because the slideshow is changing the link of the stop in the background ...

If you don't have 1.4 - please contact me - I'm working on the TWGXplorer and there is lot of stuff with rights, owner permissions .... nice area to test :).

Hi Micheal,

First let me say I really, really like Tiny Web Gallery - I just started looking for photo gallery software and TWG is the best I've seen for my uses. And I agree, it's not so "Tiny" anymore! I think it has tons of features! :D

I'm running TinyWebGallery 1.3c on RedHat linux. That was the latest version I saw in the download area on #removed_broken_link

If you can send version 1.4 beta to me, I'll try it out.... I work as a UNIX Sysadmin, but don't know much about Linux or PHP....but am trying to learn....and what better way to learn than to actually use it!

Since I have been testing some things out, I did install TWG in it's own directory, not in the server docs root. The server docs root is /www/html.
TWG is in /www/html/TinyWebGallery13.

From the installation documents I read, that was the way I thought it was supposed to be set up.

In config.php, I have $install_dir = ""; Anytime I put something in here, TWG does not work. I don't think I've quite understood this part yet.

The type of slideshow is $twg_slide_show = TRUE;

Hhhhmmm, I didn't think of trying the other types.

I have show_optimized_slideshow = true; show_maximized_slideshow=true; default_big-navigation=HTML;

Thanks for the help!

Hi,

Check your mail - I have sent you 1.4 where i did some corrections at this point yesterday. If the root is not properly in the session this does not work.
I have optimized this setting for the slideshow.
