Du setzt:
$show_captions= false; // (true/false) you can hide the menu element to enter a caption

Damit ist klar, dass der Edit Button nicht angezeigt wird. Der hängt direkt da dran.

Wunderbar, jetzt geht's :)

Bei mir ist es aber auf jeden Fall so, dass der Editier-Link auch angezeigt wird, wenn ich diese Option deaktiviere - aber nur im Root-Ordner, in den Alben wird er korrekt ausgeblendet. Nur so als Hinweis; ich will den Link ja sowieso haben ;-)

Im root Ordner gibt es keine Bilderbeschreibungen sondern nur die Editiermöglichkeit für die folder.txt und foldername.txt. In den Unterordnern ist es deswegen gesperrt.

Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob ich dich recht verstehe. Bei mir war/ist es jedenfalls so, dass ich den Link im obersten Verzeichnis immer angezeigt bekomme, aber bei $show_caption=false; erhalte ich dann immer nur eine Fehlermeldung.

Ach so - bei mir sieht man den auch nicht.
Evtl. hab ich das in meiner 2.0 schon gefixt.
