Hi, I'm new here and use the TFU for joomla 1.5

The problem that I have is, that I can not seem to disable that other users are not able to look in to an other client map.

Let me explane: User X is able to create an own file with his name and is able to upload to his folder but, he also have access to the other folder from other clients :(

How can I avoid that. I dont want that other people are looking in all folders then only the folder of them self.

many thanks

this is only a configuration option in JFU. Nothing extra.

Simply read the help (The help button in JFU or on the website). There it is explained in detail.

Michael, I have placed an image of the folders to let u see what I mean.

Image

Now you can see that there or 2 folders fro 2 diverend users.

User bert is able to go into the folder of user monica ( visa versa) what must not be the case.

Every user should have access to his own folder and not to others their folder.

Can you support me on this plc.

Many thanks

Hi Michael,

Thanks again but I have try all things to make this work but it doesn't.

Also I have check out the whole HELP! File on your forum
Quote:
12. How to protect a gallery (and how-to set multiple passwords for one gallery and why ;))

and so one ......

But also this does NOT work. :( The txt file does not work the png image 120x120 does not work for protection.

The only thing I want is to protect the files from other users.

Can you help me on this. Is it possible that JFU can do this.??

Asa girl I do not like to wast my time on systems that aren't working you know, or keep searching for solutions that or not there.

Hi,

you should maybe read the right howtos. Howto 12 you are referring to are for TinyWebGallery! This has nothing to do with JFU!!!

TFU/JFU have their own howtos!

Because if you use the master profile mode each users gets his own directory and is not able to get into any other directory!

And about the screenshot - what is that??? This has nothing do do with JFU!
JFU is a flash which does everything.

Ok, when I use the uploader It works fine. And it seems that the uploader also is working with the uploader from Joomla in the Article area.

When submitting an artikel with an image you can clik the button "submit immage"from joomla and you will transfer to the JFU upload to upload your image or use an image from you own folder.

Here you can select an image and placed it in to the article. But as you will see, you will also have access to other users maps.

smart girls hé ;)

Yes it is. JFU is an uploader - Not an image selector. I think you use the Joomla stuff to do thing and then of course you don't have the JFU functionality anymore.

Yes, I replaced the image pad in the back end from joomla to the new folder from the JFU so that the users only have access to that folder. Then I created the user permission as Readers so only they are able to create an folder and upload an image. But where its going wrong is when the user is going to use an image from his folder to placed in his article, it seems he also have access to the other folders. Now I have to create an script so avoid that. :(
