I have been having this same problem. The uploader works perfectly in the backend, but when i try to add it to a page i get:

Any ideas of what i should look into? I'm using Joomla 1.5

Maybe the Javascript for loading the flash is not loaded properly (maybe overwritten by another component).

Do you know the webdeveloper plugin for firefox?

What could i do to fix the javascript for loading flash?

I just embeded a youtube video and that played fine... not sure if that would give any indication of whether or not the flash on the site is working correctly or not.

And it shows the same message in many different browsers

do you have an url? do you get any Javascript error?
