JFU 2.10.7 installed on Joomla 1.5.15
Creating Profiles for diffrent Upload-Folders and Users.

It Works only from the Backend.

Problems on Frontendusing:
- looks like language-files (DE) did not work (Value JFU_TEXT_BOTTOM_5 is not set.) Bullshit, is defined in language file.
- Joomla System Filetypes and Mimetypes are set for some Files like jpg JPG PDF pdf DOC doc and so on.
- JFU Profiles are set to Filetypes "all"
- on Frontend are only jpg possible, all other Filetypes defined on the Joomla system are impossible for Upload, result is a message Filetype not allowed.
I tryied to use it with Profile-ID or Group-ID and on different Browsers like FF, IE, Opera, no Result!

Where is the point to setup resolving the problem!?

Frontend:

- which language file do you use? the one for JFU?
- JFU does not care about Joomla files types. You have to define your one ones in the profile.
- You have do define the valid extensions in right profile.

thx for response.

Doe's it mean set on JFU Profiile "all" types dosn't work?
I've to define the Types in the Profiles like in Joomla pdf; PDF and so on ?

Languagefile, set by system, on Backend german will be used, on Frontend it's not all in german.
If a message is shown like JFU_TEXT_BOTTOM_5 I think wrong language file or missing in it.

what do you mean with "all" and then you have a list defined too?

the allowed file extensions have to be comma seperated.

I just tested this and this works fine.

Have you really defined
JFU_TEXT_BOTTOM_5
in
language\de-DE\de-DE.com_joomla_flash_uploader.ini

Maybe you should select that you use the text box instead the value in the language file.

Thx Language is resolved.

on JFU Profiles the settings for filetypes as default is blank or all possible.
on all on next step it's possible to exlude some ext.
Otherwise you have to putin the ext. by , seperation.
On blank, only the serverfolder is available.
On all, any ext. should be possible.
On , seperated entries only thise are possible.

Ok I tryed all, but only jpg or JPG is possible.
All other ext. the result is "not allowed ext." It works only from the Backend.

Ok before you ask me about the Plugin, yes it is installed and activ.

The plugin does not make a difference because it uses the same methods

I have tested exactly what you have written before and it does work for me like expected.

How is your joomla session handler setting?

Do you get any errors in the log file?

if you provide several extensions seperated by , - does this work.

I have tried on 2 different systems - all of them work.

Is the right folder shown in the frontend? Maybe the session parameters are not used at all. Then you can try a session workaround.

OK, I think it is to be found not easy!
As the next I try to get closer to the Debug fashion around the mistake.
I will inform you about the result.

Good,

because it seems to be somehow system dependant as I cannot reproduce your problem. You can pm me login data if I should take a look.

Big Thx for Help.

small action, big result. :D

For all who stores the session data to database.
It's strictly necessary to create the session_cache folder in JFU.

Closer information is to be found in the installation instructions.

Hi,

It's actually needed where the normal session handling would fail. JFU tries to create this dir automatically but sometimes this can only be done with the wrong rights/owner and has to be done manually (See the howtos).
