Hi guys,

newbie to jfu and relatively new to php/joomla etc etc

started installing jfu to a site, and got as far as changing the session handler from database to none as per the video tutorial,

now i can't get logged in at all not from the back or front end!!!

HELP!!!!

hi michael and thanks for the quick reply,

no i hadn't read that as it was jfu i'd downloaded and not tfu, but having read a bit more i see they are related.

read #1 fax for tfu but i can't see anything that seems to apply to the issue i have!

never got as far as installing jfu, just made the change to global config as per the first step in the tutorial and now can't login

changed the global config settings back to what they had been before i got 'locked out' ie. lifetime to 15 and session handler to database

still no joy :(

ok so got it fixed, but that lil 'glitch' has put me off trying to reinstall :(

are you using Joomla 1.5.17 now?

yeah i am using 1.15.17, and was prior to installing.

the glitch was with me not the product, it was late in the day and i was tired, had a blonde moment, my ftp client wasn't uploading the configuration.php file i'd changed but worked ok once i uploaded via cpanel

Oh, I think you where done.

So you still have a problem if you set the session to none?
JFU does work with session=database as well. But with the listed restrictions.
