Hi,
as admin in the backend the magick resize works very well but with frontend the image size remains unchanged.
Any idea to solve this problem?

Are you sure you have enabled it in the front end profile as well?

Hi Michael,

yes it was enabled! Now I disabled Image Magick and the resize works well with gd.lib. I use the 2.11.1 version also with another domain but at a different provider and everything is fine there.

Is there anything at the provider which can keep Image Magick from converting at the Frontend?

It's really strange and I tried it again 1 hour ago. With Image Magick no resize, without Image Magick proper resize.

Some more ideas?

sorry for the delay. I switched on the debug mode and uploaded a pic to resize at the frontend. The size wasn't changed.

I just tested with image magick in the frontend without problems. Have you checked if the paths are correcty for your system?

Why does it work with the backend and why is the resize ok without Magick?
I run this tool at another provider and have also no problems.
Well, back to your question. Which path should I check? What's the difference between frontend and backend with the path?

Make a upload of the same file in the backend where it is working and compare the debug output.

normally it does not work with image magick if it is not installed or php cannot access it properly. But if you say it works in the backend... Are you sure you use it in the backend? Because it can be set different for every profile.

Please update to 2.11.2 - The image magic check was not enabled in 2.11 and 2.11.1 because I did a refactoring and forgot to display the image magic check results.

the update is done and the alert about Magick works well. So I'll ask this provider for Image Magick.

Hi Michael,
the provider told me now that Image Magick is installed and has this path /usr/bin/convert
I wrote this into the parameter field for convert but it was still the alert that Image Magick is not present. I tried an upload with the backend and got this logfile.
Maybe you can help me now?

now I know the problem. This provider doesn't give me access to the command line, Image Magick can only be used from the PHP library.
I guess you can close the threat.
