Hi! I am using Joomla 1.5 and JFU 2.10.5.

When uploading a file in the frontend, the status bar jumps quickly to the end and I get an error saying a firewall or proxy is caching the upload. The upload usually fails, although the file occasionally appears in the target folder.

I know this is a known issue and I have read the information about internet security suites, but even with my security disabled I have the problem. It occurs when uploading from both my computers.

Any suggestions would be helpful! Thanks!

Best,
Michael

Hi Michael,

Thanks for the quick reply. I tried uploading on the demo flash and had the same problem. This made me think something was definitely wrong on my local machine. After double checking, it seems my security suite was not totally disabled. I uninstalled it completely and the uploader works correctly! You may want to note in the FAQ/Troubleshooting that AVG Security Suite causes the caching issue as well. I am using the free version, which unfortunately doesn't seem to allow exceptions for trusted sites.

Thanks so much for your help! Great component!

Matt

Hi Michael,

I saw an article somewhere on how to prevent animated menus from being hidden behind the uploader. Now I can't find the article anywhere. Can you point me to it?

Thanks again!

Matt
