I had no problems till now, all of a sudden I can no longer download from the back end or front end. I can upload fine and I can download if I copy and paste the direct download link it shows at the bottom. Fire Fox says it is transferring data but nothing ever happens

Everything on my site is working fine except I still can not download. I have enabled the direct download and I can copy and paste the link to get it to work. But the Flash will not download when I click download. Not sure where to start looking for the problem.

I think I have found the problem, it looks like a path problem again. The email I received has the link correctly but with a" - gf" at the end which is not supposed to be there. If I remove it i works. I am thinking this may be why I can not download from the flash too. Not sure why this all of a sudden happened.

The path im my browser is http://www.filmpositivesnow.com/File%20 ... r%20-%20gf

If I remove this I can download from the address bar in my browser.
" %20-%20gf "

the gf was a description I put in, it doesn't seem to like it.

I am downloading through the Email notification since I can not download from the flash anymore. If I change the description mode to a text file instead of the email. it works. Is there a way to have the text file included in the email as an attachment?

It would be interesting why the flash should not ab able to download - because there the description text is not known. Therefore I asked how you download.

That the link in the e-mail has the problem is a problem of your e-mail client. Because it make the whole url clickable.

I will check if it is possible to separate the description part from the encoding and then the link in the e-mail should be fine too.

You can implement a simple upload plugin which does send you the text at attachment. Check the plugin page.

It seems the reason I could not download was the prefix plugin. I had y-m-d_h:m:s which worked for a while then ":" caused the problem as you had said before. SO I changed it to y-m-d_h-m-s and now I can download from the flash.

As for the description in the email I have left it as a .txt file for now. It seems the description needs to be separated some how from the actual file link. Or the ability to add the .txt file to email some how.

Can you give some guidance as to how I can do this in a plugin?

Thanks

I have checked the code - The description is url encoded as well. this is not good. I try to remove this encoding for the description.

I'll make a post when this is done.

Download again - I have fixed that the description is encoded as well - now the link in the e-mail should work if a description was added.

This is how it looks:

The following files where uploaded by admin:

http://www.filmpositivesnow.com/File%20 ... est%20test

I also have the full email notification set to true in the config. Do I have something not set right in my settings?
