On both the frontend and backend the JFU displays and then immediately puts up this error messge:

"You are trying to use the TWG Upload Flash without authentification, the server login failed, expired or the configuration could not be found!"

I have JFU version 2.8.3 on Joomla 1.5.10. PHP version 5.2.5.
Apache/1.3.37 (Unix) mod_auth_passthrough/1.8 mod_log_bytes/1.2 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635.SR1.2 mod_ssl/2.8.28 OpenSSL/0.9.7a PHP-CGI/0.4mm

I first installed, configured and tested JFU on /locahost/ without any problems. I'm really impressed and would love to use it on my live site. I copied the exact same configuration settings to the live site.

I've read the FAQ, checked for the tfu_config.php file and it's there and accessible. Permission was 666. I changed it to 755 with no effect.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

Yes and yes.

1. I do have Flash 9 installed.

2. I have cleared the cache.

3. There is no tfu.log file

4. When I call tfu_config.php directly I get the information display

5. I don't get an http error 403/406 (I can't get as far as uploading)

6. I don't get an http 500 error

7. There's no indication of an io error. I've tried it on a fresh load of Firefox 3.010 with the same result (as well as IE8).

8. I don't get an http 413 error.

9. When I click on "this article" I get a "cannot display" error in IE8 and "The server at weblog.bubbleshare.com is taking too long to respond" in Firefox.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions you can offer.

With Michael's help I was able to track it down to a permissions problem in the TFU directory. All of the files were set to 766 and needed to be changed to 755 to work. I'm not sure why or how they got set to 766 - I hadn't changed anything - but it's working now.

Thanks for your help. I've now paid for the registered version.

No, I haven't been able to find the link to download version 2.9 yet. I know you said it is in the forum but I can't find it.

Is it ready for live production use?

Really so hard to find ? ;).

http://www.tinywebgallery.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=14

And yes - it's ready for production. The reason why this is not done yet is because the full German translation was finished this week and I want to get some feedback from some testers first + I want to run a spelling correction over this language file too.

Thanks. I only looked for v2.9 in the JFU section.

Since Joomla won't let me install 2.9 over the top of 2.8.3 I guess I have to delete 2.8.3 first. Will I lose all the configuration settings?

Sorry for asking that question - I just noticed that the config screen has an option to retain all the configuration parameters when uninstalling. Well done!

This is very minor, but since you asked for feedback, here's some text that could be corrected. In the Registered/Enable File Download description, it currently ends with this:

... 'As lower button' shows the download button instead of the menu button - But only of all menu items are disabled (like folder functions, rename, move ...)

This would be better:

... 'As lower button' shows the download button instead of the menu button - but only if all menu items are disabled (like folder functions, rename, move ...)
